Stayed with friends last night. Went to a sweat lodge in Salt Lake today, my friend is keeper of the fire. She has welcomed me and my family to be by her fire anytime anywhere. Found an oriental food store and got our favorite rice.Long grain Thailand Rose Rice. Drove home late got home about 10 PM. Fed the Hope "our dog" said hi to our neighbor that was waiting for us. Still the house seemed to be missing something. I walked into my son's room which is almost empty but full of memories. My son is in MN. spending his first night in the college dorm. He's having a blast I thought as the thunder roared and the rain started. I listened to the voice messages, one from my son from Vegas but no word from MN. I started to worry and called. Yea I got a call back about 11:30 PM. I felt better knowing he was there safe, with luggage. I got online and surprise he instant messaged me wow, how cool is technology. Bang and lights went out. The battery power kept the computer on but I was offline. I turned the computer off and the storms lighting was the only light to be seen. It was fun lighting all the candles in the house. It smelled great. I sat on the porch with friends watching across the stars and the dark street. We decided to make a picnic. Crackers, chips, ham and cheeses. Who needs lights were enjoying life. A few people came out of the Memorial building. The power outage shut down the wedding reception. Then cars started making a big circle in the street. A truck with hugh speakers pumping out dance tunes pulled up. The stairs to the memorial building were now well lit with the lights from several cars. The doors opened, the Bride and Groom came running out just as they did the rain magically stopped. Everyone from the party followed them singing and dancing in the street.
We ate, drank, chated and watched for an hour till the lights came back on. The party went back inside. It was a productive and interesting day! I am so proud of my son. He worked hard several years for this opportunity and he deserves it. Learn much and play hard.

If you aren't remembered, then you never existed.
I hope Travis has called a few times since!
You have a great kid there!

You must let go of her," He said.
She wasn't haunting me. I was haunting her.
Now uh... are you Travis's grandmother or something like that? If you don't mind me asking... eh heh...
